Keith Conner Baxter’s father, first brought Conner and the Maui Super kids, Slater Trout and Zane Schweitzer over for the race. At the time as young teenagers, they were already world class windsurfers, surfers, and kite surfers. Connor grew quickly on the advent of the Stand-Up Paddling boom and with the design evolution in equipment. He’s won the Duke’s Race several years consecutively and is the course record holder. The Baxters are a great family, leading performers, and are truly living Hawaii’s rich traditions.
