Our Annual Event: Hawaii Paddleboard Championship
Since 2006 every year we are best known for a big event in motherland of watersports, Waikiki beach, Oahu – Hawaii. The open ocean event features the best athletes from Hawaii, the Mainland USA, Australia, and other international contestants. Our events welcome participants that ride both traditional “prone” paddleboards and the new highly popular “stand-up” style paddleboards. We Welcome All Participants
We are proud to accommodate all athletes inclusive of the following groups:
- Wounded Warriors
- Men, Women, Children & Elderly Racers!
- Contestants with other disabilities
- World Champions
- Novice to Advanced Riders
The Course
The racecourse is a world-class 10-miles course in the open ocean. The race starts in Hawaii Kai, then it rounds Diamond Head Crater to finish in spectacular style coming through the surf of Waikiki beach.
What do the Participants Get
- A chance at the championship in the various divisions
- A custom logo T-Shirt
- Awards for the first 3-finishers in each division
- Lunch, Drinks and possible other art prints and items from our sponsors

The Perpetual Trophy
We feature the Duke Kahanamoku Junior Men’s & Women’s Prone Paddleboard Champion, perpetual trophy donated by Cline Mann’s family.
(Notes: Trophy and Monkeypod bowl to one contestant per year – up and coming racer under 18) – Men & Women
To expand our paddling ohana, one-man canoes have been an added as a race division. To perpetuate the Duke’s legacy, we always bring attention to the up and coming ocean athletes.
